Hi,

I just purchased a USB data cable for my Samsung e715, unfortunately i am unable to get it to work under linux.

Does anybody know which module to use with this device? i tried cdc-acm and usbserial and niether worked. probably because it is an interface device and not a modem or serial port.

If this cable will not work, does anybody know of a brand of cables that will? This phone uses the same type of cable as most Samsung GSM phones.

Here is the listing from /proc/bus/usb/devices:
T: Bus=01 Lev=01 Prnt=01 Port=01 Cnt=01 Dev#= 2 Spd=12 MxCh= 0
D: Ver= 1.10 Cls=00(>ifc ) Sub=00 Prot=00 MxPS=64 #Cfgs= 1
P: Vendor=10ab ProdID=10c5 Rev= 1.00
S: Manufacturer=Silicon Labs
S: Product=usb data cable
S: SerialNumber=0001
C:* #Ifs= 1 Cfg#= 1 Atr=80 MxPwr=100mA
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=ff(vend.) Sub=00 Prot=00 Driver=(none)
E: Ad=03(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=83(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms

any help would be much appreciated.
