Arrgh! the responsibility.
How about I make the following announcement here, which will overcome one
serious stumbling (aka writer's) block I am encountering:

Out of phplib, I have used session, cart, table, oohforms, tpl_forms, and
db_sql mapped to db_pgsql. (I'm a postgresql weenie, sort of -- really wanted
transaction capability.)

I have NOT used sql_query class in there because it simply does not appear to
work as is with postgresql...

I also do NOT use phplib authentication for two reasons: (1) I do not think
that it will do what I want it to without a lot of extra code, and (2) I see so
very many problems with phplib authentication on the list.

Therefore, how about the following for a phplib writeup:

1. Someone gives me an SGML template to fill in -- this can come later if
necessary, but I think that having templates available for various kinds of
docs would make it easier for everyone to do documentation consistently.
(I used to work with troff, and the first thing I would do is start the
template -- actually, a cheat, because it would let me put something down on
the page without actually having to think about writing anything -- quick
start, sort of...)

2. Sections:
--- a. How/where to install phplib
--- b. How to configure http.conf when using phplib
--- c. How to integrate phplib into midgard
--- d. Core:
------ (1) Session
------ (2) Auth (noting I didn't use it and why, and inviting someone else to
write)
------ (3) User (also don't use this for various reasons)
------ (4) Db_Sql
--- e. Extended functionality:
------ (1) Cart
------ (2) Mention of templates for poor people who don't have midgard
--- f. HTML Widgets
------ (1) Sql_Query (noting that I don't use it because of postgresql
idiosyncrasies)
------ (2) Table
------ (3) Form (oohforms)
------ (4) tpl_form
------ (5) Tree (I have not even looked at this one -- anyone????)
------ (6) Strings2 (see tree....)

This follows the phplib manual that I have -- admittedly, I am a bit behind on
version since there is a 7.3 beta (I think), but I am going with what I have.

Well, I seem to have done my outline, so I don't have any excuse now not to get
started, yes?

Does this sound like a plan, y'all?
