Peter,

Thank you very much for the patch. After applying your patch, newhidups & upsd
ran successfully. The output of upsc is as follow:

driver.name: newhidups
driver.parameter.port: auto
driver.version: 2.1.0
unmapped.ablerexups.batterysystem.batterysystemid: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.batterysystem.presentstatus.good: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.batterysystem.presentstatus.used: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.batterysystem.temperature: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.batterysystem.test: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.batterysystem.voltage: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.configactivepower: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.configapparentpower: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.configfrequency: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.configvoltage: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.delaybeforeshutdown: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.delaybeforestartup: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.flowid: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.highvoltagetransfer: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.imanufacturer: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.iproduct: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.iserialnumber: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.flow.lowvoltagetransfer: 0
unmapped.ablerexups.powerconverter.output.presentstatus.ablerex1: 0
ups.mfr: UIS Ablerex
ups.model: Ablerex USB Interface 049e

I then turned off the main switch & then ran upsc again. Even the UPS was on
battery, the output of upsc remained the same. I was hopping at least one of
the values would dropped to a negative value. What should I do next? Thanks.
