Well, I finally got the plugin to work (after having to recompile PV as
it hadn't shared libs enabled and therefore could not load any plugins;
would it be an idea to force BUILD_SHARED_LIBS to ON whenever at least
one plugin is going to be built?).

I noticed there was a separate window showing the manta output a second
time, but that probably isn't caused by the X11 setting?

make install also doesn't seem to copy over all the manta stuff, I'll
file a separate bug for that.
