The timing of arrival of the SIGINT is basically chance --- it might happen while we're inside backend/regex, or not. I mean, sure you could claim that a bad regex might run a long time and thereby be more likely to cause the user to issue a query cancel, but that's a stretched line of reasoning. regards, tom lane
