One comment:
For your R devel example you didn't use spaces in the expression, i.e.
maybe
that's broken too with spaces?
I did. There are two R-devel examples, one with spaces (buggy) and one
without spaces (works).
To show that spaces are the problem.
Three questions:
Does it work if you avoid spaces?
It seems so.
Does it work if you use single quotes?
It does not, single quotes are not special characters for windows, so
you'll get a different error. In
R -q -e '1 + 1'
there are three arguments after the -e: '1 and + and 1'
Does this also occur for Rscript?
It seems so indeed.
