This. I have been in several bad crashes, broken more bones on a bike than I care to say, and was always glad to have worn a helmet when I did. No matter how safe and skilled a rider you are, if you ride a lot you *will* crash, or be hit by an idiot in a car, and if you are wearing a helmet, you will, at the very least, save some teeth.
