Hi,
thanks for the confirmation. It means more manual work to be done (and
not be forgotten), but I see it has also its advantages. I'll do it
that way.

Yes, this only works for side tags. The previous F39 build,
https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=109761881 was done in a
side tag as well.

Chain builds kinda work without side tags for rawhide, but they take
forever to complete because each individual build in the chain build needs
to go through bodhi and openqa testing, before it can land in rawhide build
root, so each step (after the build has completed) takes more than an hour.
With a side tag, chain build is much faster and you can submit everything
together to bodhi so that all the new builds are tested as a single unit.

So my suggestion would be to use a self service side tag for rawhide as
well, not just F39.

f39-candidate ~> f39-build stuck or something?

2024-01-05 Thread Milan Crha
Hi again,
with the problem on the rawhide, I managed to build evolution-data-
server update for F39 with no problem, but the chain-build [1] to
wait for the f39-build refresh/update to have the new eds. It waited
for 2 hours, which is quite a lot of time.

For what it's worth:

$ koji wait-repo f39-build --build evolution-data-server-3.50.3-1.fc39
nvr evolution-data-server-3.50.3-1.fc39 is not current in tag f39-build
latest build in f39-build is evolution-data-server-3.50.2-1.fc39

$ koji latest-pkg f39-build evolution-data-server
Build Tag Built by
    --
evolution-data-server-3.50.2-1.fc39 f39-updates mcrha

$ koji latest-pkg f39-updates-candidate evolution-data-server
Build Tag Built by
  - --
evolution-data-server-3.50.3-1.fc39 f39-updates-candidate mcrha

What can I do make it work, please? Or is chain-build supported only on
the side tags these days? I'm pretty sure it worked fine a month ago.

I do not see any f39 repo-rebuild related task between current active
tasks on koji [2].
Bye,

I think the builder is on a host that's not responding currently, I
will free the task, so another active builder can pick it up

The build has completed already on other arches, but on ppc64le it has
been stuck for ~ 45 minutes. What's especially odd is that it has
apparently picked a builder (so it's not stuck waiting for a free
machine) but the builder isn't making progress.

ok. Fixed.

I actually already had this on my list. I have been trying to watch the

There is no testing for rawhide.

The f32 tag means it should be in composes.

The issue here is that you created this bodhi update... for rawhide
gating it just does all the work, you should not create updates for
rawhide.

I can see if I can get someone to poke it and make it reflect reality,
but it's already stable and there's nothing further to do (except clean
up what bodhi thinks).

Done. Do note that you can do this too, just untag it from f32-pending
and tag it again into f32-pending.

And I am again sorry we don't have this fixed...

Thanks for opening the ticket, but the update is still stuck, now going on
nine days.

Would someone with the necessary privs please kick it.

Thanks

Thank you, Kevin! That did the trick. The build has finished. Much
appreciated.

I've freed the task to another builder.

For some reason that machine (it's aarch64-c17n1) has vm's that are
really really slow. I thought we fixed it, but apparently not. ;( I've
disabled those so no builds will happen on them while we try and sort it
out.

Build stuck setting up buildroot

2017-10-04 Thread Jerry James
I started an F27 build this morning:

https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=979845

Hours later, all arches but 32-bit ARM have finished. The 32-bit ARM
build appears to be stuck setting up the buildroot. Build.log shows
that the build hasn't actually started yet, and the last bit of
root.log reads:

DEBUG util.py:439: Running transaction check
DEBUG util.py:439: Transaction check succeeded.
DEBUG util.py:439: Running transaction test
DEBUG util.py:439: Transaction test succeeded.
DEBUG util.py:439: Running transaction

Only the transaction does not appear to be running. Could somebody
take a look at that for me, please? Thank you,

ceph build stuck in f27-pending for 12+ hours

This ceph build finished building in koji 12+ hours ago:

  https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=942742

but it still in f27-pending. Is there something stuck that prevents
it going into f27, and thus inherited into f27-build ?

Daniel

Doesn't look so to me... it's running tests on the arm build.

There's progress, but it's slow.
