A friend is interested in using RTTY for a semi secure ARES data link using GE
UHF radios converted to 440. i have not used RTTY on anything but HF. Is this a
doable proposition? what freqs are good choices? can it be done with the sound
card interface and MMTTY?he has reasons for not using
I wonder how the various digital software applications
handle the two audio sources
I've sent two separate channels of audio from the main and sub-receiver
on my SDR-1000 to MixW. It results it two waterfalls, as you'd expect.
The first waterfall display had the receiver frequencies displayed,
why go that slow? RFSM2400, 141A and some of the other non-ARQ modes like
Olivia will really fly on 440
and be a little bit more secure in that not everyone has the software to copy.
My money would be on RFSM 2400

Check the IC-7000 group messages, folks there have been talking about a
radio shack scanner cable that works. They have/had two models; a
serial version that was on close out for $5.00, and its usb
replacement for less than $30.00 (I think). Anyway, there are several

and whether I can use my FT8800 on 2 meters for digital operations.
Jeff,
I wrote a handout for our club's field day GOTA station PSK31 operation
a couple of years ago.
It was designed for new hams and non-hams. You still might find it a
useful introduction, though.
