For which Mellanox part, exactly? The "hermon" driver supports some older ConntectX IB parts (original ConnectX, not ConnectX-1,2,3,etc). The newer "mlxcx" driver is Ethernet-only but supports ConnectX-4 and later. The mlxcx driver currently lacks LSO/TSO support, so it is limited in single-stream TCP throughput to somewhere in the range of 5-10gbit depending on your hardware and configuration. It can typically exceed that considerably with multiple TCP streams.
