re: Adoption: Baha'i Children
Check with the National Center. I believe that they will put interested Baha'i couples in touch with mothers who wish their children adopted by Baha'is. Probably the Office of Community Administration. RE: Adoption: Baha'i Children
Sandra, We are newly foster-to-adopt parents of a wonderful little boy. There are many foster children throughout the U. S. waiting for permanent homes. As long as a child is in the foster care system, by law, their biological parents have the right to determine the children's religion [unless parental rights have been legally terminated], but once children are legally adopted, their adoptive parents then guide their religious education. This doesn't exactly answer your inquiry. There is a public website www.adoptuskids.com that lists many of the waiting children in the United States. RE: Adoption: Baha'i Children
Thank you, Susan and Congratulations! with heart-felt admiration. Lucky little boy! Lucky family! Actually I'm inquiring about matching Baha'is seeking to adopt and available children within the Faith. I myself was adopted at 3 months... Records sealed. Because the Faith supports Open adoption it would be an ideal service to have within the Faith. I belieive the Catholic Church does something similar.
