*Hi Shari and Sofie, I'm new here too, I have a 22 pound Chug(Chihuahua/Pug) named Spike, he's almost 10, Winkee, my 5 pound Fawn Chihuahua, he's around 11 ( found on the street and we adopted him 9 years ago) Miss Mouse my black and tan 9 pound Chihuahua, she's 8 and Pudge my 30 pound Fawn Pug, he's 4...we adopted all of our kids...Your little girl sounds adorable. Just took a look at Sofie's photo, what a little doll she is. I admire people like you, who not only save a little one but pay to take care of the neglect they suffered. We always had larger dogs but are now retired and our little 17 yo rescue girl passed away. She probably weighed around 18 lbs. We decided to see if we couldn't rescue a Chi... found Benjigirl and we were smitten then along came Tilly and if we weren't smitten again LOL Now we have to be careful because chihuahua love is catching ... Welcome Shari and Sophie. I am Gloria and I live in Central Texas with Emiliano my two year old, long coat male Chihuahua. I like you, was completely devoted to poodles. During our 45 years of married life, my husband and I always had a poodle. When he died, he left a 13 year old poodle who mourned him as much as I did. Less than 7 months later, when the cancer she had spread and she was in constant pain, and could no longer control her bodily functions, I had her put out of her misery. I felt that having a poodle was something my husband and I had done as a couple, so after more than three years of being alone, I decided I was ready for another dog. I did some research and chose a Chihuahua. Now, my little fellow is the love in my life and has helped to get me back to living for the now, instead of living in the past. Again, welcome. Gloria
