Hello,

Apologies this took *a while* to get to, but it's [nearly] here,
at last:

I've added an opendht-tools package as part of the upcoming 3.0.0-4
upload, which among other tools packages python/tools/http_server.py
as /usr/bin/dhtnode-http with a corresponding dhtnode-http.service
and configuration file at /etc/default/dhtnode-http. Hope this helps.

Tobi, would you please sponsor opendht 3.0.0-4 for me? Since it has
a new binary package, I believe it will have to pass through NEW.

Thanks,

Bug#866075: [dhtnode] ship http_server.py and a systemd associated service

2017-06-27 Thread Simon Désaulniers
Package: dhtnode
Version: 1.2.1~dfsg1-8
Severity: normal

OpenDHT's upstream has an http server written in python that could find a nice
place in this package. I'm talking about the file:

python/tools/http_server.py

I'd like to use this as a dependency for a debian package of a program I'm
working on~[1]. The program tries to conncet to a local http server which
handles a python dhtnode running behind. I suggest to place the http_server.py
file under /usr/bin/http-dhtnode-server.

Also, the following file from the OpenDHT repository could serve as base for a
systemd service file that could come with http-dhtnode-server so that the server
can be run as a service.

tools/systemd/dhtnode.service.in

Regards,
