Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Aurelien Jarno X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-de...@lists.debian.org, debian-gl...@lists.debian.org * Package name: rpcsvc-proto Version : 1.4.2 Upstream Author : Thorsten Kukuk * URL : https://github.com/thkukuk/rpcsvc-proto * License : BSD-3-clause Programming Lang: C Description : RPC protocol compiler and definitions rpcgen is a tool that generates C code to implement an RPC protocol. The input to rpcgen is a language similar to C known as RPC Language (Remote Procedure Call Language). This package also includes several rpcsvc header files and RPC protocol definitions from SunRPC sources that were previously shipped by glibc. The glibc SunRPC implementation has been removed in glibc version 2.32. It is replaced by rpcsvc-proto and libtirpc, which also brings new features (IPv6, Kerberos support, etc.). This package will be maintained within the glibc team.

Major changes in this package are: - New upstream version (obviously). This version is needed and works with upcoming sdcc release. - Removed PS/PDF files from gputils package, as they are included in gputils-doc package. - General updates in debian/* to make it more lintian clean. All those changes are fine. I have tested both build and installation to go cleanly on sid-amd64 and sid-i386, using pbuilder+aufs. Also, since mentors only allow source package upload, I have uploaded generated binary packages on - http://labs.aobac.net/debian/pool/local/g/ I'm not yet fully familiar with how official Debian packages are uploaded, but please use these if that's convenient. As a Debian Developer, I have to rebuild the package from source, so I don't need the binary version. Anyway gputils is the kind of package that is quite fast to rebuild. Bug#283084: RFA: acx100 -- ACX100/ACX111 wireless network drivers source
Package: wnpp Severity: normal I request an adopter for the acx100 package. As I don't have the hardware anymore, I don't use it, and thus I can't test it and I can't try to reproduce the reported bugs (currently none). Ih have patches for ifrench / ifrench-gut ready to build the dictionaries from the ispell ones directly which was how the zip was created anyhow. This was possible only now that we have alibmyspell-dev in unstable which incidentially contains a script which was made for converting ifrench-gut :-) I am going to file bugs with them today. If the maintainer doesn't accept that we could use the .zip as source but building it from ifrench / ifrench-gut is a much cleaner way... I agree it will be more clean than packaging myspell-fr from the zip. Nicolas, if you agree to create myspell dictionary from ifrench or ifrench-gut, could you please make your package available (on people.d.o for example) at the same time as you upload it? You should also consider to merge paragui-themes with libparagui1.0 as libparagui1.0 depends on the former package, which is very small. There is also the Standards-Version to check and bump to the latest version of the policy. Finally, the section of the packages should be changed as I get this warning after uploading the package: libparagui1.0_1.0.2-1_i386.deb: package says section is devel, override says libs. libparagui1.0-dev_1.0.2-1_i386.deb: package says section is devel, override says libdevel. paragui-themes_1.0.2-1_i386.deb: package says section is devel, override says misc. Except these minor things, the package should be in good shape. In any case, please wait the package gets into testing before uploading a new one: it is holding a lot of packages using SDL out of testing. pgp99G9Vdvr5T.pgp Description: PGP signature
