+1 (binding) I would also like to mention that the Yunikorn community has a Slack channel with more than 150 members, and is full of constant message flows. Two community meetups were held recently. All the evidence suggests that the project is able to sustain itself and grow beyond. +1 (binding) from me, The App-aware scheduling and Hierarchy Resource Queues of the Apache YuniKorn(Incubating) can greatly improve the resource scheduling capability of k8s and increase the throughput of the App system running in k8s. We were impressed with these features during our use. I think that upgrading Apache YuniKorn(Incubating) to a top-level project would be more beneficial to the development of the project. good luck! Re: [VOTE] Graduate Apache YuniKorn (Incubating) as a Top Level Project
Hi Calvin Thanks for the suggestion. We've discussed this in the past, but because that was a pretty early stage so we did not create another mailing list to manage. But now since the community grows much bigger, I think we are going to revisit this and discuss this. Thanks for your suggestion, much appreciated! Re: [VOTE] Graduate Apache YuniKorn (Incubating) as a Top Level Project
Looking at the project notification settings ( https://issues.apache.org/jira/plugins/servlet/project-config/YUNIKORN/notifications ), only issue creation, resolution, close, reopen get sent to dev@, not every jira notification. I think this is reasonable. I'm also fine having it more restricted though. > > BTW, the dev mailing list is best separated from JIRA notifications (which > can be grouped into the commits mailing list) to allow for more focused > discussions. > >
Re: [VOTE] Graduate Apache YuniKorn (Incubating) as a Top Level Project
+1 (non-binding) Glad to hear it, I looked at the mailing list, Github、JIRA. as well as the release version and maturity assessment, and I think YuniKorn is ready to graduate. BTW, the dev mailing list is best separated from JIRA notifications (which can be grouped into the commits mailing list) to allow for more focused discussions.
