[GNC] Using GTK3 Themes with Gnucash 3.X on MacOS
I've seen discussions that imply I should be able to apply a GTK3 theme to Gnucash, but despite my best efforts, am unable to do so. Is this possible? My Setup MacOS 10.12 (Sierra), Gnucash 3.8 I've gone through the Wiki about this stuff, but nothing I try works. If anyone has got this to work, I'd be interested in specifics as to where, exactly, I should put the pertinent files. Seems like for MacOS there are a whole lot of dual specifications of directories. Apparently one is if you want to set the "look" for all GTK3 applications, and one is for Gnucash only, but putting everything in both still does nothing for me. [GNC] Recommended themes
I'm using the Leather-Dark GTK3 Theme, like it, but am curious if there are any other themes that others are using that they strongly recommend for a test drive (understanding that everyone has their own preferences). Hello Edwin, One way to remove any custom theme and get back to default is to remove the .gtkrc-2.0 file in your home directory (which is probably *C:\users\YourUserName* directory. To change your theme, run the program (assuming you installed in the default location): *c:\program files (x86)\gnucash\bin\gtk2_prefs.exe* This will update your .gtkrc-2.0 file with the new theme information. You'll have to restart gnucash to pick up any changes. I hope that helps.
