--- Comment #2 from Niels Dettenbach n...@syndicat.com ---
It seems i can confirm the bug, because i get a similiar error with akonadi
1.13.0 (in kontact 4.14.3 / Gentoo). Beside this, akonadi is hardly consuming
system ressources from time to time (for ~30 seconds in steps of 10-20 minutes
- leads to nearly full hang of KDE only, while text konsoles are not affected
from time to time and some times the full system) on a relatively powerful
machine (Mac Book Pro 6,1 with fast SSD, 8 GB, i7 Dual/Quad CPU):

As Nicolas reported me, you changed your backend as sqlite.
It's not really a good idea see:
https://techbase.kde.org/Projects/PIM/Akonadi/Database#Sqlite

You will have a lot of problem.
I will search more information about sqlite support and see if I can find
something.

[Akonadi] [Bug 282160] akoandi does not delete mails from .local/share/akonadi/file_db_data

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=282160

--- Comment #38 from Hussam Al-Tayeb hus...@visp.net.lb ---
I found something:
Most of the emails that get stuck in
/home/hussam/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/
are emails that were junk filtered into trash folder and permanently deleted
later but are somehow still in
/home/hussam/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data/.

Perhaps force-remove an email from file_db_data when kmail deletes it from
trash as part of Empty local trash folder on program exit as a dirty fix?

[Akonadi] [Bug 283682] KMail duplicates filtered messages

Seeing the same issue on Debian for 4.14.1 (jessie) as well as 4.14.2 (sid).
For me, duplicates occur only if mail filtering does NOT move the mail to a
folder different from INBOX (using IMAP), where I let the filtering happen.

Moreover, Folder-Remove Duplicate Messages does not work. Of multiple
duplicates, two will remain (if the operation is started at all after selecting
this action, which does not seem to reliably be the case for me). I've seen an
open bug report for this somewhere but I cannot seem to find it now.

Maybe there is some issue here in that Kmail/Akonadi do not reliably detect
what ought to be considered the same mail object, and hence the duplication
occurs after the filters did not move the mail to a different folder?

[akregator] [Bug 344887] Akregator doesn't remember read items after restart

2015-03-09 Thread Baconmon
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344887

--- Comment #4 from Baconmon yas...@gmail.com ---
I did grep -i on dmesg several times with different words like length,
file, name, long, exceed, limit.. But nothing that came up said any
thing about file name length..

My file system is ext4..

Also, I tried enabling akonadi system, but it didn't help at all (even after
restarting)..

Oh, also, not 100% of the time, but very often (maybe 75% of the time)
akregator will crash (seg-fault) when I close akregator.. Not sure if that is
related to it never saving (the read articles) or not since it doesn't always
crash, but would any of that crash information help maybe?..
