[lace] Christmas Card Exchange 2014
Hi to all, Janet and I have volunteered to again head up the Christmas card exchange this year with the all important help from Jenny in the uploading of the cards for all to see in December. The time line for preparing and sending the cards is: 1 OCT - 22 OCT 2014 - send us your name and address - tell us how many cards you would like to make - if you have any special requests as to where you would like to send your cards, please let us know - please send your requests to either of us at the following addresses or reply to this e-mail and we will do our best to carry out your wishes. Janet from Bridlington, Yorkshire,UK janettheak...@hotmail.com Sallie from Wyoming, USA bertra...@gmail.com 3 NOV 2014 Pairings will be sent out to all who desire to participate 1 DEC 2014 - all cards should be postmarked to your partner We would also like to provide a couple ground rules - If you want to share your work and the joy of the season, please send us your name. However, if you send us your name and you are paired, please follow through. It is most disappointing if someone fails to follow through and their partner has gone to the effort of making and sending their work and card - If for some reason, after you have been paired you find you cannot follow through, please let us know and we will reassign your name to someone else - last, if you feel uncomfortable sharing your work because you are just beginning, please don't opt out. We will love your work all the more because you tried. Many Thanks, Janet Sallie - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here. Re: [lace] Updated Christmas Card Exchange Announcement.
To all the newbies on lace and those who feel that they couldn't possibly share their work can I just say that every exchange I have taken part in, I have treasured the item I was sent. I adore every effort regardless of precision, competency or knowledge. Each piece has been made by someone who is passionate about their craft and that is what matters. Please, please take part. Re: [lace] For all new to the Christmas Card Exchange.
I'll agree with others on here that say please don't let a 'lack of experience' stop you from entering!! I entered for the first time last year and have now got 3 'new friends' from it!! We all love receiving 'hand made' gifts of either a card, a bauble, or some such thing and everyone starts somewhere We've all started from the same place just some have been doing it for longer than others!! Apart from that, it's the 'giving' that counts!!! So come on into the exchange along with those who have already put their name forward Sue in East Yorkshire where it's been sunny today!! - To unsubscribe send email to majord...@arachne.com containing the line: unsubscribe lace y...@address.here.
