As good pratice teaches, the Debian tag should be pushed to the git
repository only once that the package has been accepted in the
  archives.

Please, avoid this step until the package is actually accepted.

Oh is it? While i can understand the reasoning i find it too
complicated for practical workflows (too many tiny context switches

Since deleting (remote) git tags is rather easy and rejected packages
are not the standard case, i'd rather have people make sure that they
do not forget to push all changes (including possibly wrong tags) than
avoid pushing too often (fixing a wrong tag is easier than searching
  for forgotten commits)

Right, but while in my DM period and NM process I was asked by few
sponsors to avoid this step until the package was really accepted by the
system. It's surely a PITA sometimes, but probably the best workflow for
now. Then again, anyone here is free to follow its inclination on how to
 handle its packages ;)

We do request that if you are not uploading yourself then do not tag,
leave that to the person actually uploading.

But on the practical matter of before/after ACCEPT, I think I'm going
to side with IOhannes: I have forgotten to push tags way too often to
add another step in which I can do so :p

It was accepted, indeed.

And I'm missing all team mails... gosh, probably I've been removed from
the mailing list due to the massive bounces.

Sorry for the noise ;-P

Cheers.
