Jason,
I have been experiencing problems with 3590 K-Type tapes as well and it has been well
over 5 months since we have upgraded from B1A/E1A to H1A. You may be running into an
APAR that support informed me on last month where you have to mark the volumes as
READOnly to get them to mount. See
Test.

Yes, this is a message that happens quite often with Windows clients. I have seen that
this happens when the server is rebooted overnight and upon start-up TSM has problems
starting the TSM Scheduler service again. Under the Scheduler properties and the

Well, SWIT3! The volumes have to be already labelled checked into the
library as SCRATCH volumes. Then, TSM will automatically mount a SCRATCH
volume and proceed with the data write. If not you will have numerous
insufficient space errors in the activity log.

Kelvin,
That is a manual process. You will have to move the files from one storage
pool volume to other storage pool volumes. You can move files from a primary
storage pool volume only to volumes in the same or a different primary
storage pool. You can move files from a copy storage pool volume
