Betreff:[Assp-test] Multiple Connection Lockups again

Hi,

I recall that this setting changed recently, but since then I have been
having ASSP crash on me and each time it seems to be due to 2 similar
connections being handled by two workers at the same time.

I have the following in lib/CorrectASSPCfg.pm

 $main::delaySameIPorHelo = 5;
 main::mlog(0,info: delaySameIPorHelo set to 5);
 $main::delaySameIP = 5;
 main::mlog(0,info: delaySameIP set to 5);

Which one should I remove as I can't remember which is the old one?
Would having both in lead to the fix being negated or is something not
working as it should?

All the best,
Colin Waring.

Hi Thomas,

Setting it to verbose seems to have changed nothing. As per the log
below the system is detecting the message as a bounce but does not
appear to be logging any MSIG validation attempt.

 I have just checked some outbound emails and they all bear a Message-ID:
 header so it looks like MSGID is working.

 In the case of this one domain it would seem that ASSP is failing to
 block the messages even though they do not bear an MSGID header

[Assp-test] fixes in assp 2.2.2 build 12265

2012-09-21 Thread Thomas Eckardt
Hi all,

The GRIPLIST scripts on sourceforge are updated and all databases are
moved to MySQL for a week now. This improves the speed of the stats and
griplist uploads. The number of records available for the griplist
download has been increased.

fixed in assp 2.2.2 build 12265:

- The MSGID-signature check and the BATV-check were no longer working
since build 12229

changed:

- If multiple recipient replacement rules were defined using the same tag
number, the last one was used.
  Now the first one keeps active and for all other indentical an error is
written to the maillog.txt.

added:

- An new hidden config variable 'SPF_max_dns_interactive_terms' is
available.
  For more information read the POD of Mail::SPF::Server !
  Change this only if know what you are doing!

$SPF_max_dns_interactive_terms = 10; # max_dns_interactive_terms max
number of SPF-mechanism per domain (defaults to 10)

Hello Thomas,

I use the latest ASSP 1.9.x version. I haven't used Griplist in
probably two years. I stopped using it because I found that there were
way too many false-positives causing legit emails to score higher and
get blocked. Is that still the case or is it working any better now?

Thanks,

I download the griplist and I upload the rebuild resultsfor testing - but
I don't use the GRIPLIST values - I use the much better but not FREE
Global-Penaltybox.
The reason is simple. Everyone who uses assp can upload what ever he
likes. So it is easy to compromize the resulting values.
The mechanism to calculate the griplist has been changed to be more
correct - the scripts are using less resources and the storing mechanism
for the data is smarter.

I think the griplist data are better than before the changes, but far away
from a perfect state - it's just what it is - a summary from all over the
world.

Thomas

[Assp-test] ASSP 2 installation question: moduleLoadErrors.txt

2012-09-21 Thread Michelle Dupuis
I'm installing ASSP 2 on a fresh new Centos 6 x64 system and am getting pretty
far along. However, there are 4 errors (in the moduleLoadErrors.txt file) I
can resolve - see below. Here's what i've done:

1. I install perl-Net-SNMP using yum, so why is error #1 there?
2. This module is not available from cpan/yum that I can see. How do I install
it?
3. Why is there a Win32 dependency? I'm installing on Linux. Do I have to
disable this somehow?
4. I don't want virus scanning (I have Symantec AV running downstream). How do
I disable this?

Thanks!
Michelle
