As other lady said she must be scared. Dogs can also feel you and maybe she is
feeling that this may not be her forever home. Talk to her, like you do with a
baby, they probably don't understand your words but they understand the
message. Have patience, to get use to a new dog (specially when
The 2 bigger dogs from the previous owner had her scared.I would
suggest get a crate ( or large box ) keep her in there ..let her out every
2 hours to tinkle and eat and drink, in between times cuddle with her...and you
will see , she will come around slowly, she has to learn to
a large box, like a TV box can serve as a temporary crate..

It really isn't so sweet when they are outside and it is 3 AM!!!
The two Bassets and Bam Bam have a HUGE back yard (you could put a horse
in it) and spent a lot of times outside. We have horses and donkeys and
their pasture is adjacent to the dogs back yard. We have had the
livestock as long as
Where did you get that doghouse. I really like it. Right now Bear goes under

How long have you had her? Sometimes you just need to be patient. If she went

Hi Julia!
When I brought my new Chis home I would place them between the front
paws of my Sheppard (Romanov)and she would give them a couple big
licks while I readied the camera for their first picture. Romanov
then seamed more interested in what I was doimg than the puppy.

Rose, the group owner, recently told me that she had to make a choice between
moderating the group and not moderating it. Since she is trying to run the
group alone and it is S big, it can become a hard job to try to moderate
all the emails, and they were backing up...she didn't feel she
It's just spam, even NBC National News mentioned
spam tonight. It is there, best thing to do is
delete it. Most often the subject line gives a

the internet.
To keep this on point, I am attaching

My preference always is for live groups. There is
something almost disconcerting about moderation
when it means batches of mail all arrive at the

I would love to see all of them next to the bath! That must be quite a sight!

Ric,
Thanks for the advice, gives me hope to keep on trying to make those
Chis accept the Lab. In my case the Lab is younger female and as a big
puppy wanted to play rough with the Chis * this scares me to death*. I
think Romanov has an excellent personality and I was reading about

Yes I dont mind being moderated in the beginning to get rid of the nuts
but after a while you feel so out of sync. I dont care about spam I
just delete it. My service provider was supposed to watch out for that

Oh my goodness, 4 weeks is way too young for a pup to be taken away from
mom. Puppies learn a lot from their mom and siblings during the first few
weeks. Anyways, one thing you can try is when he bites you, say NO very
loudly and quickly and then turn your back to him and ignore him for a few
Hi, I also got my chi when she was 4 wks. She is now 7 wks and doing very well.
May be you could set a crib for him instead of having him in an open space

and cover the hood up with a blanket when she is sleeping, this
