Hello,
I am asking for advice about a problem we are having with Scout, our 4 year old
Chi. He sleeps and rides in the car in a crate. When we go to get in the car
he happily jumps in the car and goes right into his crate. I am able to close
the door without any reaction from him. If anyone
Along the line of prayer requests; our 21 year old son got a job delivering
pizzas(despite our pleading that he find a safer job) in CHI. He has already
been mugged and had something thrown through a car window. He is working
tonight and I just have to trust the Lord will protect him from the
Hello,
We adopted our long coat Chi, Scout, earlier this summer. He has very fine,
silky hair that is a single coat. Although it is very shiny it can get a
little frazzled looking at the ends. Do any of you have a favorite brush you
like to use or a shampoo or rinse?
Sue
AWwww, hope she feels better!

Ditto what Judy said. Our Scout will piddle if we make a big deal of greeting
him when we get home. We calmly get them out the door first and then pick them
up to say hello. And never chastise him for the dribble.

Gwen,
Thanks so much for all the input! I will go get some box liners, dump all the
litter, wash the boxes with bleach solution and start over with Fresh Step

of it with the kind they are using now first)?
And, I will be

Now how do I keep my Chi's from eating out of the litter box, other than
keeping it scooped? And, from what I've read the clay litter(Fresh Step) is
worse for them to ingest than the corn based litter(World's Best). Does anyone
have any input about this? I am such a DOG person!! Ha!

Stef,
Talked with our daughter and she and her roommate might be interested in Gizmo
if you still need to find a home for him. It would depend on if he would get
along with her Chi, Nina. Can you email me privately at srde...@gmail.com?
Thanks,
Sue

Hi Stef,
Does Gizmo have any health issues? Our daughter is in Arlington, where are
you? She already has a female Chi. I will pass the word on to her. I am
assuming his pics are in the album Gizmo?

A. Poor George! Our little Nina had both knees done at one time and just

Great Post! Blessed Thanksgiving to all of you. Our daughter is coming home

I did find some at Petco made in US but they were gross and fatty looking. I

Our dogs love Chicken Jerky treats. I looked at Meijer in MI and Petco and
Costco. All of the jerky they had was from China except for one brand. That
jerky was from the US but was really fatty and gross looking. Does anyone have

Hi Lynda,
I have found with one of our boys that if I just let him out or carry him out
and set him down, he just stands there shivering and looking pathetic.
However, if I put a leash on him and walk him around the yard or down the

Both of our Chi's are. It is well worth it in case they ever get lost. The
pain isn't any more then when they get a shot. We had a man come into the
shelter today who just lost a Sheltie that had never been microchipped. His
chances of finding her are way less for that reason.
