Sorry to disagree. There was lots of info about how the FR was not ready
for prime time available when I bought mine. I think it is pretty clear
that this machine is a hackers box that makes phone calls, and that is
what I bought. I use the thing for phone calls and it works just fine.

should avoid round-trip calls to x, so while they run they can do
all
their gfx ops WITHOUT a single round trip (thus no cache flush) and they only
flush on final draw of everything - so just once per frame really (for the
app).

Okay, it looks like the 2.6.28 kernel and modules are an improvement for
the accelerometer data, but the report times, while not negative any
more, appear somewhat erratic. The type codes appear to be unchanged in
this build, with the driver reporting EV_REL and EV_SYN.

In my case, one of the motivations for looking into the FR was the VGA
graphics capability. Any old phone would do for QVGA level performance.

moving an updated frame buffer in memory to the chip's video buffer,
presuming they are different, without draping. Since the controller
appears to be able to rescan its own video buffer without flicker, I

I confess to not being too familiar with git, however, the web site says

after cloning the kernel project.
This does not work for me. I suspect that origin must be something

After many spent hours trying to get wifi and bluetooth up and running
on SHR-U, I am about to conclude that these features just do not
work.
Wifi, after doing the bind and module reload things, works for about 10
pings, then appears to just stop, hanging the USB connection as well.

Tangogps is a very fine product. I do have a suggestion for a feature
based on my own experience using it on the FR:
Normally, I am interested in only a selection of possible map
resolutions, such as 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16.
For whatever reason, 10, 14 and 16 are most used by myself. however,
I have had experience with a lot of WiFi chips that is that they stop
working after a couple of years. Check that the device is found on your
machine. I use lsusb
