Tomas: You can boot without acpi at the LILO prompt, hit ESC and type:
linux acpi=off
That should help you, but AFAIK it isn't related to this bug.

Nope. Same story. It needs nolapic or it freezes on the DSDT in initrd msg.

Also occurs with stock kernel.
Get error message on startup with ACPI enabled:
looking for DSDT in initrd... not found.
Freezes at that point.
