Is there a reason why gnutls-config and xml2-config aren't just tiny
wrappers around pkg-config for backwards compatibility? IMO, it's
kinda silly to have each package provide its own -config script with

I've reproduced this problem on Ubuntu as well, and it seems like it's
merely bugs in the test suite. The problems go away if you compile the
test suite with -O0 instead of -O2.
This is obviously not a correct fix, but it works around the problem.
