George i tried to restart kdm but it puts me in a CLI text-mode login. But dont think that was the problem since i restarted the machine 2-3 times and problem persists. Also i check the /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc but user list was true. Try to add more than one users and check again if you have time.
