FYI, we are running into problems with our application because of this
inclusion of FTGL. Basically, we are using VTK for 3D visualization and
also use OpenGL + FTGL to draw a 2D graph.

I run in to the same problem. When I used a complex (17 characters,
capital en normal letters, with spaces and an exclamation mark) password
the problem occured. But when I used a simpel password it installed just
richt.
