Bug#1056104: libreoffice: please enable ENABLE_WASM_STRIP_PINGUSER

2023-11-16 Thread Cyril Brulebois
Source: libreoffice
Version: 1:7.0.4-4+deb11u7
Severity: normal

Hi,

LibreOffice features a prompt that pops up every now and then, asking
users to get involved or to donate. I'm not sure asking repeatedly is
reasonable, and it seems like ENABLE_WASM_STRIP_PINGUSER would be
appropriate to turn that off. Implementation details can be found in
SfxViewFrame::Notify().

Thanks for considering.

Cheers,

Bug#1056074: libreoffice: FTBFS: boost1.83 transition

2023-11-16 Thread Anton Gladky
Hi Rene,

thanks for the deep analysis. We did a full rebuild of related
packages and it looks like libreoffice was false negative.

Let's keep the bug open for now, till we switch to a newer
version and if all is OK, the bug will be closed.

Best regards

Anton

No, totally unrelated. (And I wonder how you got into this at all.)

And besides that, if it was that that it already built everything and is
at install stage. So probably nothing boost-releated anyways.

if ($ENV{BUILD_TYPE} =~ m/ODK/) {
print "Running SDK installer\n";
system ("cd $ENV{SRC_ROOT}/instsetoo_native/util ; " .
"perl -w $ENV{SRCDIR}/solenv/bin/make_installer.pl " .
"-f $ENV{BUILDDIR}/instsetoo_native/util/openoffice.lst -l
en-US -p LibreOffice_SDK " .

"-u $tmp_dir " .
"-buildid $BUILD $destdir $strip $msi " .
"-simple $path") && die "Failed to install: $!";
}

so it looks like the tree was incomplete or otherwise else an expected
file/directory is not there? Still not boost-related :)

I am 100% sure this will be unreproducible in any case when I tried it.

Regards,

Rene

Hi,

we are preparing the transition of all libs on the new boost 1.83. During the
rebuild of packages against this library it was identified that probably your
package fails to build.

"probably"?

As the newer version is already available in Debian as we tested, we can not
be sure whether it is still relevant. But anyway.

Then be before filing bugs.

Relevant part (hopefully):

-

Failed to install: No such file or directory at
/<>/solenv/bin/ooinstall line 102.

-

No, totally unrelated. (And I wonder how you got into this at all.)

Also note that
https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?h=libreoffice-7-5=7e61545966c61102aad56bbf10bae2edfbfa9226
*is* in 7.5.8 so boost 1.81 should work.

boost 1.82 needed no actual code changes upstream
(https://cgit.freedesktop.org/libreoffice/core/commit/?id=8daa8eef06fa485f5271503921585a3fbef26567).

No one tried boost 1.83 yet afaik.

To reproduce this behavior, you can install -dev Boost packages from the
experimental repository, as shown in the following command:

   apt install libboost-dev -t experimental

The full build log is available from:

If you are unable to reproduce this, please provide a build log and diff it
so that we can identify any relevant changes that may have occurred in the
meantime.

That routinely will be useless since my paths in the build log will
probably not match yours. And I am not doing sbuild which does
<>.

Rene
