6.8 -> 6.23, so with lets say 2 a week, it should not take more than a
couple of months. Wine-development should then be up to 7.8 or
thereabouts :)

I guess this package has low priority, as this is used - afaik - only
for Wine. Since Debian are not able to build more recent Wine than 5.0
either, it may not get too much attention perhaps?

WineHQ provides pre-built binaries of stable, development and staging on
their repo's. It is not for everyone to quickly build wine themselves,
since you have to jump through a few hoops to get i386 compile of wine.

Package: libvkd3d-doc
Version: 1.2-6
Previous bug: #992069
This is not fixed. The package libvkd3d-doc still is not installable alongside
libvkd3d-dev, as it tries to overwrite files in /usr/share/doc/libvkd3d-dev
folder.
This placement of files in /usr/share/doc/libvkd3d-dev folder seems

Either my setup is all messed up, or this still does not work.

I believe this is a bug. No other of the packages contain the headers
either.
Another bug with this 1.2-5 version is that libvkd3d-doc is not
installable besides
libvkd3d-dev due to trying to overwrite the README files in
/usr/share/doc/libvkd3d-dev
that also the libvkd3d-dev package
ocs are being generated when the package is being built (and thus probably
not binary the same?).

vkd3d-compiler binary being 32-bit/64-bit depending on arch.
This is posted in a own thread here on this mailinglist, so hopefully someone
is looking into that aswell.

n compiled in the i386 package, and 64-bit when compiled in
the amd64 package, thus the error message when you try to install them
both. If any package would use this binary as a dependency, i would
think it needs to be arch dependent.

his should be the case. Many games still uses
32-bit loaders even if the
game itself is 64-bit... what would happen if the loader does not find any
d3d12 capabilities?

I would say i agree with the plans of not focusing on wine-devel. I think
it would be a shame not to ship wine-6.0 as the stable version tho.

As per wine-5.0 (and devel/staging) this is indeed a build requirement:
https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?f=8=32192
The wineHQ buildbot:

Be adwised that newer libfaudio requires libSDL2 >=2.0.9 to build, but

I am sorry to see anyone go from any types of active contribution.
I dream of the day there will be less distro package dependencies if
that ends up being the result from using mingw to compile PE-libs, cos
it is somewhat a pita compiling multilib wine using Ubuntu atleast.
Best of luck to
