error in styles.css that causes the white line.

One workaround (this really doesn't deserve the name...) is to just
open the disk space analyzer and keep it in the background. This mutes
the messages.
Would really be nice if this bug would be fixed asap, it's things like
these that make Ubuntu less and less fun to use with every release.

I'm also having this issue in 11.04 with smb as well as sftp shares.
After a reboot the names of all bookmarks are reset to generic names
like smb or sftp, after accessing the share the name is corrected
until the next reboot.

Incidently I have the exact same setup and my Ubuntu 10.04 installation also
exhibits the exact same behaviour. Very strange this.
I also consider this to be a usability issue.
Display resolutions are exactly the same:
1440x900 for the main (laptop-integrated) display. 1280x1024 for the external

(message-new-instant.ogg) is extremely quiet (too quiet for my taste
at least). Even with alert volume at maximum I can barely hear it.

The fix from upstream is that the user is prompted to emtpy the trash
when the drive is unmounted. This fix is in Karmic, but a big problem is
that this dialog is not triggered when ejecting a drive in Nautilus,
only when unmounting.
In Nautilus ejecting is the default action, unmounting is only

I'm experiencing this bug on a VM running the latest Karmic. I did not
change any settings regarding gdm, they should all be default values. I
don't even have any gdm.conf or custum.conf in /etc/gdm (There is ony a
gdm.schemas).

After some investigation, I think this is a codec error: In Intrepid
gst-fluendo-mpegdemux should be responsible for decoding the stream. But
in Jaunty, fluendo-mpegdemux conflicts with gst-plugins-bad (universe)
so it can't be installed. If I try with just fluendo and no plugins-bad,
totem shows

For me it wasn't. After installing that library it now works for me.
Still very annoying for a fresh install.

I still think this is a valid bug. And a very annoying at that. Bug
#114227 is supposed to be a dupe but doesn't give the original bug. This
is certainly still a problem in Xubuntu Hardy. Please reopen.

jamendo plugin needs libgnomevfs2-extra
I have the same problem, using Hardy Beta 5, updated to April 1st. Disabling
the keyboard plugin on Gnome Settings Daemon fixes the crashes.
Is there any open bug about Xvnc performance?

I close this bug, because I noticed that sound-juicer simply writes id3
2.4 tags whereas most application only recognize id3 2.3.
