To clarify my earlier comment on web mail - what I was suggesting was
to set up a local (to each node) webmail machine that would then send
SMTP over packet. The interface between the local ham's equipment and
the LAN clients would be a web browser. At no time would the http be
going over the
Andy your'e not the only one concerned about this, For a while now I've
been trialling most of the systems that have potential for putting data
to and from the field. RFSM has been the best experience for cold start
users and it can send and retrieve files to the host station PC.
