Restarting indexing?

Hi, I have about 80GB of mail to index using Dovecot 2.3.4.1 and xapian 1.4.11 FTS. After about 18 hours I had to reboot the server for an unrelated reason (it was perhaps a quarter of the way through indexing). After reboot, the indexing did not restart, and I could find no way to restart it
