ANF is completely DISABLED in CW. I cannot remember a time when it was not
but as you can tell, my mind can go off track when multitasking.
This is by design because we wanted ANF to operate
I'd just like to second, or is it third, what someone said several posts back:
A manual notch filter would be very useful
VERY useful. Lack of a manual notch filter as always seemed to me (a digital
mode addict) to be a significant omission. I often want to notch out an
annoying signal

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure what Adaptive LMS is exactly but hope it makes an
appearance in v2.1.
Cheers!
Mike.

Hi Mike,
Here we suffer a lot with EU stations tuning right on top of the DX
signal, a simple notch removes them enough to be able to make out what
the DX
station is sending underneath.
The 25hz filter is great, but doesn't help like a notch does when the
QRM'er is on the same freq.

The one thing I miss the most about my old rig compared to the F5KA is
having a variable notch filter.the automatic one is virtually useless
against deliberate QRMers (and there are a LOT of them around!).this came to
prominence in my desire for one during my recent operation as 3D2A.

Why do you need to open up the RX filter? As long as he is not changing
frequency, set the RX filter to cut out the offending signal.

Mark,
Okay, I understand the issue.
Too bad you don't have a F5K w/RX2. Then you could do what you want --
listen to the DX with RX1 narrow filter -- listen to the pile-up with RX2
with a wider filter. You would still have to deal with the QRM in RX2, but
at least you could still copy the DX.
Ray,
