Thanks to all that responded on the power supply issue. I pulled one out of another computer and it is as quite as what I have been running. On the pan I have about -130 dbm at peak wit -135 at lows on the hash.,nto dummy load on receive. There is a little has noise and the scope shows

If you toggle the SR (spur reduction) on and off, do the spikes move? If they do then they are normal products of the radio and can be safely ignored as they should never be in the bandpass. If they don't move, then it's environmental noise from neighborhood consumer electronics, etc. Where I am,
