with FreeBSD 7.0R on my daily work laptop;
In August I've ported in a test machine from the ports KDE 4.1.0 and it
was to unstable for daily usage, at least at this time;

running on the FR, I encounter that tangoGPS tries to connect
to 127.0.0.1 and not to the configured host 192.168.0.202; you have to
press the GPSD button in tangoGPS config page to make it connect to the
remote host; will check the sources for this bug/feature...

but no masterport, like it exists for KDE or Gnome;

page but it is only saying ... Boot on floppy (a), hard disk (c), CD-ROM
(d), or Etherboot (n)..

so slow, esp. on disk i/o; I have loaded kqemu.ko on boot and if Qemu is
up I can't kldunload it; but I really don't know if it makes use of it;

old DNS server IP? How this is supposed to fix? An idea would be to
restart sendmail via a devd hook, but maybe there is some config values
for sendmail that it always check /etc/resolv.conf for fresh?

Is there some tool in the ports which works more or less like od(1), but
instead of dumping octal or hex, the Unicode codepoints of the bytes of a

mostly with ZyXEL 1496 modems, very robust, and I have in that time
beeing tested a lot of other modems too w/ FlexFAX and HylaFAX..
Never chastise a Windows user...just smile at them kindly as you would a

Yes, in the past the Philips one SPC 900 NC; I think any will work when
there is /dev/video0 created by pwc.ko or webcamd.
