Are you talking about the possibility that there is a FusionInventory Agent installer for Microsoft Windows but without Strawberry Perl embedded? Exactly that. Whether that is true, and I have understood you, what would be the different between that and an installation by hand based on the information of How to setup a FusionInventory Agent on Windows from sources (http://www.fusioninventory.org/documentation/agent/dev/git_windows/), perhaps improved?. That info (nor roughly different from: http://www.fusioninventory.org/documentation/agent/installation/source/ ) seems to me not silent and not reproducible to large scale (but, i insist, could be my scarce perl knowledge). Could be that last approach valid for you Marco? I'm simply thinking of an installer (or, it is the same, a .zip file) that contains all the stuff *and* the missing perl modules (if there's no some path/PERLLIB trouble...) -- dott. Two question. 1) on windows, having the ability to manage installation and dependencies (with WPKG, not FI itself, but this is not a big difference...), there's the possibility to have a ''perl-less'' version of the installer, so we can install ActivePerl/Strawberry Perl and not the embedded one? I hate all the java software on windows that came with the bundled jre without at least expecting/asking for installing one. 2) there will be built debian package of the new agent? I've to wait at least for 'sid' package (currently, still 2.3.0) and repackage that? Thanks. -- dott.
