At least two users [1] are reporting that the operating version [2]
should be 30600 in 3.6.1 and not 30601 as convention might have it.
I don't care either way actually, but I just wanted to confirm this
isn't a bug in 3.6.1 so that I can patch puppet-gluster correctly.
Cheers,
James

How about you post a patch that adds this request as a comment in the

Good idea actually... Please review/ack/merge

James, why not just compute the operating version? After 3.5.0 it's always

Something along the lines of
$version_array = split(${gluster_version}, '[.]')
if $version_array[0] 3 {
fail
of GlusterFS, 3.7.
Cool, thanks.
As reference, the four line patch looks like:
https://github.com/purpleidea/puppet-gluster/commit/c2291084cf818d0058a66dcbc0984bcea7b51252
and is now in git master. Future patches are welcome :)

As an aside, apart from Google's paper about chubby, are there any
good resources about how to understand Raft/Paxos on a Global scale,
in particular if latencies/links can be high/unreliable?

In addition, I would recommend considering using --xml and that
picking out the field you want to look at with a quick xml parser, and
then going with that directly. More stable than watching for a

Also, IANAL, but their code is GPL compatible, even if they are being
dicks and requiring copyright assignment for their proprietary dual
licensing. But at least their code is GPL compatible, which OpenSSL's
is not. So I say +1, use this.

/glusterd/glusterd.info has the seluser set as
'system_u', but something keeps changing it to 'unconfined_u' so
perhaps that is now what is correct. (It didn't used to be.)
What other files need attrs and what should they be?
