It's clear, though, that GnuCash is designed mainly for single users. A

font-family globally on Windows.

I was able to get the register font to change to Times New Roman in the
register by creating
C:\Users\John Ralls\AppData\Local\gtk-3.0\gtk.css

Small text is often an artifact of desktop screen resolution. Is GnuCash
showing different size than your other programs?
I am not sure where that is controlled in KDE.
