Today, when I went to price database to download some closing amounts, the application hung up and I to force close GC (3.8).  I tried a second time with the same result.  This is a first for this version of GC.  It used to happen often on the 2.6.19 version. I do not know what caused it

After using the 3.8 version on Linux Mint 19.1, I find that is much faster than the 2.6.19 version.  I have one issue regarding the accounts page, I entered an incorrect amount for a payment and then tried to remove it (even deleting the line) but nothing worked.  I finally closed GC without

I have noticed in the 3.8 version, that the description field is quite large, while the amounts fields are small.  I used to know how to expand them but that was a long time ago.  Would some let me know how to? Thanks, Les On 3/2/20 3:24 PM, David Cousens wrote: Les You will need to

Thanks David. I made a different account file for the 3.8 version naming it 3.8.  I kept the original account file with the same description. My goal is to run both, one at a time, for about a week to verify the totals for each major account remain the same.  Assuming that there are no

Les You will need to maintain separate data files(e.g. give them separate names identifying the version they run with) for each version as there were some data file changes going from 2.6.x to 3.x which prevent a 3.x file working with a 2.6.x version. I think Geert mentioned them in a post in

Yes, I mean the account file.  I now have two seperate account files (2.6.19) and (3.8). However, since I am not knowledgeable in Linux file structure, I have decided that I will only open one file at a time.  Once I am convinced that both are maintaining the same account balances, I will drop

It will depend upon where your 2.6.19 version is installed to and where in the file heirarchy the flatpak installs to. Main problem will be if the libraries for both versions get installed to the same locations. I think flatpaks install under~/.local/share/flatpak/exports/share/applications for
