I stopped at Eagle Lake, Hancock County, yesterday morning and late afternoon and did not see any Western or Red-necked Grebes. I did see a Northern Waterthrush a bit north of the area where I saw /heard one well into June. I wonder if one stuck around for the summer. Otherwise there wasn't

Wednesday (5th) Lynn Marsh, Carol Mefford and I walked the bike trail north from Cherry Glen.  We were treated to many fledgling birds including Red-bellied Woodpecker, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Black-capped Chickadee and Rose-breasted Grosbeak when we heard an Eastern Towhee calling.  The male

At the Macbride Raptor Project/ Center, we have a fledgling+ (maybe 4-6 weeks old) Turkey Vulture that was rescued by a St Bernard.  The bird is unharmed and needs to be returned to the wild.  It appears young enough, that we would prefer to place it in the area of an active nest.  If anyone
