I had downloaded some YouTube video (.flv) to my Ubuntu desktop (ext3) and
unintentional a couple of files got deleted. Not much writes have occurred
after the event except the download of an already downloading file.
Is there tools to recover the deleted files?

Hi,
Looking at how much time they took to finish 66% of Hurd, I think it's
going to be a looong wait to finish the rest. Most of the FOSS
community has simply given up on Hurd - often, it's a big joke.
On the other hand, it is not the linux kernel that looks lacking now.
The desktop UI metaphor
there are recovery softwares like mondorescue and testdisc i never

(at least for ext3). And I don't understand how the file format is essential
in recovering files. I do understand its relevance if there is higher
chances of over writes. But if I am very sure there is a particular file
TestDisk seems very difficult to use. And the video seems to be specific
about images alone!
