I have to disagree with you on one matter Nishan. We must actively
discourage such efforts. When there is no overall standard for doing
something, people will propagate several conflicting ad-hoc standards.
And when the real standard does arrive, it will take a long time to
subdue the rest.

some error, apache worked fine.

If you want to set up LAMP stack just for a development environment,
install XAMPP[1]. Otherwise, it is better to install respective packages
Lamp is available from opensuse as a build. Visit susestudio or download
opensuse 11.2

If you want the Ubuntu Experience .. then use *Ultimate Edition (2.7)* which
has a feel of ubuntu but has many packages installed.
With that, not only LAMP but also other features such as java sdk along with
many IDEs will be pre installed.
