Since web mail log-ins don't update the lastlog.in file, I have
considered writing an application that, at the end of each day, would
read the W1 file for successful logins and, if it is more recent than
the user's file info, update the time stamp.

How does it know if someone who only uses web mail has ever logged in?
I don't see any updating of the lastlog.in time stamp when using Web mail.

The main.srt file is updated when a webmail login occurs...this may help...
