We've been running 6.06 on same hardware for over a year at about 2-4%
processor utilization. We never needed to reboot the machine. In fact,
we'd reboot every 2 months just because we thought it was a good idea for a
W2K box.

Unfortunately, I think you may be right. We have been using Imail for 2.5
years now and seen it be extremely stable. The only problems we've had
were:
1. Web Messaging
If you've got more than 20 or so domains, bulkregister is great. I don't
remember how many it took (we've got 180) now, but we got the rate down to
$10 for .com, .net, .org and it's $12 for .biz, .info (2 year minimum
though).

F-prot itself doesn't have to be run as a service, it'll run fine without an
open session. It's the F-Prot updater/scheduler that should run as a

worked out before we started evaluating it. Imail has been a great set it
and forget it (for the most part) solution for the past two years. The 5
to 6 upgrade was a breeze but we didn't do it until 6.03.
