all crashes in QFontEngineFT::shouldUseDesignMetrics come from our titler
module in MLT that is not thread safe, and we haven't found a solution for
long.
as a workaround, you should try to reduce the number of processing threads in
Kdenlive settings/ Environment (and maybe same for encoding threads in render
dialog), or avoid using Kdenlive titles and rather prepare SVG/PNG from
graphics editors.

At Work we use a server system that allows setting up private calendars, group
calendars ans share private calendars with individuals or groups. I can connect
to private calendars as well as to group calendars, no matter whether I created
the group or someone else did. But I can't connect to shared private calendars
via caldav that individuals shared specifically with ME. No Error-Message, just
NO finishing of connection. I created a testuser and checked various
constellations. On the same machine Thunderbird/Lightning can connect to all of
them troublefree.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
My name is Christian Schulte. (Links are originaly copied from the groupware
server)
In Thunderbird (installed it for this test) everything works, in kalendar it's
as follows:
1. Connecting to https://obs-visselhoevede.de/caldav/christian.schulte/home/
WORKS!
2. Connection to shared
https://obs-visselhoevede.de/caldav/gerard.dyck/terminplan/ DOESN'T WORK!
3. Connection to groupcalendar 'lehrer'(teachers)

Marking as fixed. Renaming a .jar archive to .kar and opening it with Ark works
as expected, since Ark can now understand that it's just a jar (i.e. zip)
archive.

Hello,
Sorry I can't reproduce this issue...
I guess it might be related to a Qt bug in 5.4.0 (5.5.0?) in which the file
dialogs where under certain conditions never showing => the workaround was then
to press "Escape" to dismiss the dialog and try again, several times until
success.
Can you confirm with updated Qt5/KF5 libs?

Hi, I haven't had an in-depth look yet, but I know a work-around:
run 
emerge -i --target=gitHEAD cmake-pkg
and then go ahead.
This will hopefully be fixed in the next cmake release.

Thanks for the hint, David.
I tried deleting those directories and re-creating the accounts, but that
didn't change anything. Also my XMPP account now does not seem to connect
anymore at the moment.
(Google, ICQ, Telegram, ... all still not connecting)

Marking as fixed, as Ark 15.12 uses by default the 7z plugin for zip archives.
p7zip has limited support for windows-style pathnames: it won't preverse the
directories structure, but it will allow you to extract and recover all the
files in the zip.

There is not really much more that we can do. After all, specifications exist
for a reason and we are talking about invalid zip archives here.

This feature isn't working very well and the original developer didn't really
stick around. If nobody can investigate and try to come up with a fix it may
have to be removed.

And what version of KDE Frameworks are you using?
One part of the fix is in KAuth IIUIC.

The issue doesn't occur here any more (with Plasma 5.5.2 and Frameworks
5.17.0).

It appears that is impossible to move a bar from a screen to another.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a vertical bar
2. Put some plasmoids in there
3. Plug another screen so that the new screen is on the opposite side of the
vertical bar
4. Show the options of the bar and try to change screen edge
5. Drag the bar to the edge of the 2nd screen, so that it has to cross in
between the 2 screens.
6. Now the bar is gone.
7. killall -9 plasmashell
8. plasmashell &
9. Now the bar is again in the original place, but it's not as wide as before

Actual Results:  
The bar is gone

Expected Results:  
The bar goes to the other screen

it's - very likely - due to combined xcb and xlib usage and on top of that
happens in xinout2.
none of that used in qt4.

Hm, when I tested it here at work, the problem seems to be that _saving_ is
broken: the krita file ended up with a zero length. Could check whether that's

Yes, the text input in the location bar works as expected.
The real problem is that the graphical path view (which is default) is broken.
In graphical mode, it does trim trailing whitespace away and then adds a
trailing '/' when clicking on the folder 'whitespace '.
By the way: The 'Up'-Button does not show the wrong behaviour when it is added
to the toolbar.
When you are in the folder '/home//whitespace /bar/' you can use 'Up'
to go one level up without a problem.

You can work around this bug by modifying the settings:
- Check 'Editable location bar' in the settings
Then you cannot encounter this bug, but everyone using the default settings can
encounter it.

Logging in using ThinLinc (or any other remote session) in KDE on Fedora 23
pops up an authentication request for "refresh the system resources". This is
most likely fallout from the PackageKit commit 4888afef. Similar bugs are
present in Gnome components:

The permission in question is
"org.freedesktop.packagekit.system-sources-refresh" and seems to be triggered
by the update notification function in Plasma.

user unfriendly. :/

I was able to use Amarok for a long time without a problem. Then I deleted all
previously played titles from its list. Then it did not play any audio, even
though I tried removing and reinstalling it. After updating it today (using
zypper update), it crashes every time I start it.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

1. Deleted every previously played item from Amarok's list.
2. Restarted it.
3. Installed update today using "zypper update"

Actual Results:  
Amarok didn't play any audio after step 2.
Amarok crashes every time it is restarted after step 3.

Amarok should start and play audio.

Marble comes with quite a lot of maps by default. Especially when frequently
switching between two maps of related content the dictionary sort order of maps
can be very tedious; i.e. you may have to scroll and click in order to switch
between two maps of desire. It would be a great improvement for Marble if one
could establish his/her own order of maps by using drag and drop. The map list
could additionally be tidied up by creating folders for maps of related content
and evtl. by linking maps into multiple such folders.

What did you change before this happened? Did you upgrade your system or change
any libraries?
Anyway, your backtrace is missing debugging symbols, so unfortunately it is not
useful. Please install debugging symbols for Amarok, Phonon, phonon-backend-vlc

I am unable to copy selected text via CTRL + INS.
i gen an "5~" instead.

Paste with SHIFT + INS does work ok.




Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open konsole
2. select text
3. copy with CTRL+INS

Actual Results:  
instead of copying the selection, konsole outputs: "5~"

Expected Results:  
being able to copy correctly.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
opening gmx.com account just crashes rekonq, Just every time.

Handle signed only inline messages correctly

In a PGP MESSAGE block can also only be a signed only message. So if the

Hi, a bug I found using 2.9.10  up-to-date (and also in animation branch) : the
zoom canvas with Ctrl+ is broken. It locks sometime the  key 'on'
, or lock sometime the color-picker, or display continuously the zoom
magnifier, or even attempt to do a vector selection ( blue selection square +
icon ).
This behavior is here since around 10 days, but I didn't had time to report it
immediately. I used the mouse scroll zoom or the '+' and '-' key as a
work-around.

Thanks for writing! Regarding changes in my libraries: I did disable the
Tumbleweed repository, as I'd had problems with its updates sometimes; so now I
only use the repositories for 13.2 (e.g.
http://download.opensuse.org/update/13.2/).

I tried to install the debugging symbols: The crash report tool offered that,
but could not perform the operation. I did find and manually install
amarok-debuginfo, but that didn't change anything in the output. And I could
not find a debuginfo package for the other components you mentioned.

When one executes kate from krunner, krunner does not disapear after execution.
One must drag kate's session window to being able to select a session or create
a new one,  and only then krunner disapears.

1. ALT+F2, type 'kate' 
2. press enter (the entry must be the one that says "APLICATIONS"


Actual Results:  
kate's session dialog is behind krunner, one must drag it to being able to
click on it.

Expected Results:

This behaviour is not necessarily a bug, as some pointers might e.g. be left on
the stack
and/or in registers, and so can still be considered as reachable.

See e.g. memcheck/tests/leak-cases.c for a technique used to avoid (or limit)
such
pointers being kept in regression tests.

Note that you can investigate why a block is still reachable using gdb+vgdb :

Happens w/in same Dolphin window. Copy dir from tree in home directory (using
mouse/context menu) paste by rt-clk on target in different part of the
home/(tree). Target can be either in the folder panel or the file list pane; in
the file list pane it errors regardless whether the target is a directory or if
you click and past "in the field" to paste into the dir currently displayed
level.  

More detail: First time I have see this; I've used Dolphin regularly w/this
distro version for about 6 weeks since upgrading the distro. The dir I attempt
to copy contains only files (no dirs) - 800+ jpg's, about 69MB total. I had
just created the source dir (a dir for working purposes) on the tree and pasted
the files into it in one batch from my dl dir (where the files comprised the
total contents of that dl dir and I selected all of them at once) using
rt-clk/cut and then rt-clk/paste to the list pane of the newly created working
dir. So far good. I then  was attempting to copy that working dir and paste it
into another folder for backup purposes and got the error.

Suse LEAP 42.1 (upgraded from suse 12.2)

I don't know why this would make a difference, but I am running the "Active
Window Control" widget on the Plasma panel. Just a hunch, maybe try running
that and see if you can reproduce this issue when trying to change Wallpaper.

Also, I'm running plasma 5.5.2 on Arch Linux and was previously running Xfce4
4.12.3 so have all that installed along with Plasma. I installed a fairly
minimal plasma 5.5.2 desktop.

What I meant is that my application is creating shortcuts such as "Alt+F" which
Kde assigns to a button, so they conflict and the shortcut no longer works.

So basically, shortcuts within Qt applications might not work at all within
KDE, depending on which buttons are shown and which shortcuts are created.

This is why I believe it's a rather important issue. The problem is not only
about the artifacts.
