FYI I have captured the `sudo lspci -vv` output on the kernel 5.8
*before* the issue here https://pastebin.ubuntu.com/p/GtZyTWzKTd/ it is
subtly different to the 5.4 kernel (which has not had the issue) in case
that mattered.
I was also able to reproduce the issue again by causing high disk I/O,
I have the same problem like @Alex explain, adding to that when i run
`lshw -C network`
I noticed wireless network is not claimed. How to claim it?

no brightness control in {455,460}
This problem report is related to 1910588. I am running kernel 5.8.0-36
now and found that the dd command I was using to test zfs raidz1
performance worked the last time I tried. dd now provides speed
measurement skewed by arc though (2.0GB/s).
I have run memtest86 on this machine recently. Four
I'm in the same boat as @adrian and @meeraj and @angels. I clicked
through on the update windows when I got them last week (or there
abouts) and the next time I rebooted I had no wifi at all.
I followed the suggestion to purge the bcmwl-kernel-source package and
install the three broadcom ones,
I've tried doing various IO intensive things to trigger it but no luck
yet.

was completely gone. When I typed: "apt purge bcmwl-kernel-source" command I
got this message:

to do a middle click using the default hid-i2c driver. middle click and

Confirmed that the attached test script reproduces the problem with
5.8.0-36-generic from groovy-updates. ith 5.8.0-37-generic from groovy-
proposed the problem is fixed.
