Well, the staff at the Hollies are back after the Christmas and New
Year break, so Maggie forwarded the advent calendar entries to us -
110 in all (beating the 77 entries of last year). We've just put them

bottles of tablets, of varying strengths - we found them with the vitamin
supplements in a K Mart or similar store whilst travelling in the US last
year. Not sure if availability in Canada will be the same. There

Chinese Gooseberries originally came from China. They were a very small,
hairy and somewhat tart fruit until the New Zealand orchardists developed
them into what they are today, and then marketed them as Kiwi
You're right there, Maxine, Chinese Gooseberries did come from
China. I've got several growing in a shade house in my back yard
(trees ? vines? - thickish trunk, but more like a vine) but I don't get
decent tasting fruit from them, although they do fruit quite well.
