This weekend, with the help of several others, I've actually managed to use lejos 2.1.0 on Mac OS X 10.4.7 with Intel Core Duo. Not all of the tools work (for example, emulators) but the essentials do:

I'll put together a set of explicit instructions that might be of use to
others who are in the same situation.
The latest version of iCommand is out. This one has
a few more features, such as uploading and downloading files to the NXT. It is
also a bit more stable and has been tested by several people. See the leJOS
