It seems to me that a natural counterpart to having a water ban would be to use water usage rates to control the amount of water people are using. Yes, I know about the tiers. But those rates are set for non-drought circumstances. Why not temporarily alter the rates in response to the drought? I

Thanks, Sara. I agree. Its very important for us in Lincoln to take care of our water supply. Water will be increasingly precious with climate change, and we all have a role to play in conserving water in times of draught for both people and wildlife. Grass will come back after browning off.

Many of our neighboring towns use water from the Quabbin Reservoir via the MWRA. The towns that I know of off the top of my head are Weston, Lexington, Framingham, and I think Waltham but Iā€™m not sure.That section of the state is not in drought and the Quabbin Reservoir can provide quite a bit
